League Of Legends – Premier Tour

Riot Games' League of Legends Premier Tour is a unique opportunity for LoL teams from Germany, Switzerland and Austria, whose players are at least Platinum 5 rank, to qualify for the LoL European Masters.

The winter season of the Premier Tour lasts from October to March and consists of four stops, where each is a complete tournament.

The VCA Vienna Challengers Arena will be the tour stop in Austria and is sectioned in three phases:

  • Open Qualifier: Teams can register online for a station on the Premier Tour. Once the Open Qualifier starts, teams play Best-of-Ones in a Single Elimination bracket until 8 teams are left.

  • Closed Qualifier: The top eight open qualification teams compete against the top eight teams from the previous stop. The game is played according to the knockout principle until four teams are left. The 8 remaining teams will be seeded against the top 8 from the previous stop to play the Closed Qualifier, a Single Elimination bracket until 4 teams remain.

  • Final: Semifinals and Finals will be played live on stage at VCA! The Semifinals will be played as Best-of-Three while the two finalists will battle it out in a Best-of-Five during the stop’s Finals.

The four best teams of one tour stop win cash prizes and the eight best teams receive Premier Tour points. The two teams that have scored the most points at the end of each season automatically qualify for the European Masters.

Super Smash Bros Melee

Most of you will certainly know this fighting game published by Nintendo from their childhood.

Super Smash Bros. Melee was released in 2001 for the Nintendo Game Cube and what might have been just played for fun has grown to be a serious esports title over the past few years.

By now, competitive Melee is being played for already 17 years and the community behind it stays loyal to the old school game since it differs significantly from the other Super Smash Bros. titles because of its highly complex techniques mixed with strictly timed very precise attacks and movement.

Tayfur "Zaza" Dogan

These stars and idols from social media and streaming were at the VCA 2018!

Timo "Marshmallow" Vogt and Vincent "Zimteuro" Lyssewski are the casters of the Premier Tour-Stop
in Vienna and commented live from the LoL-stage.

Two years ago Eni Zhou alias "XoYnUzi" made the leap from professional gamer to successful streamer on Twitch, where more than 60.000 fans follow him. With more than 10,000 followers on other social media channels, he is one of the biggest influencers in the Austrian gaming scene.

Rafael "VeniCraft" Eisler, probably Austria's most popular gamer, was also there: The 21-year-old has almost 450,000 subscribers with Minecraft- and Fortnite Let's Plays on YouTube. Despite his celebrity status, VeniCraft has remained down-to-earth.

René Wurz aka "LuigiKid Gaming" also has over 450,000 YouTube subscribers. At the beginning of 2016, he quit his job as a fitness trainer and turned his passion for Nintendo and especially Super Mario into his profession.

Last but not least - Becci alias "JustBecci", gamer & YouTuber, who has moved from Berlin to Vienna, was also part of the VCA and entertainend and inspired not only her fanbase.

You could meet our social media stars in the "living room" of "LuigiKid" and "JustBecci" - in the Willhaben Stream Salon!

Just Becci

Eni "XoYnUzi" Zhou has been playing computer games for over 14 years. What started with the hobby of playing Diablo 2, Warcraft 3, World of Warcraft and League of Legends for 8 years, ultimately paved the way for Eni's success. In 2014 his esports career started and reached its peak as  he was the jungler for Fnatic Academy, a professional League Of Legends team. Since 2016 he is a full-time streamer on Twitch and shares tips and experiences with his audience on his channel.

"I am very happy to promote the Austrian scene with this cooperation!"

Since 2011 Rafael Eisler is known as "VeniCraft" on the internet. As a gaming and esport fan since hour one you can watch the charismatic 21-year-old on YouTube and Twitch where he shows his skills in various computer games.

Since VeniCraft saw his favorite players live in action at GamesCom 2012 at the age of 15, he dreams of improving his passion in Austria and supporting the gaming community...

"... the streaming area at the VCA Vienna Challengers Arena is another important step in this direction!"

Becci started her twitch channel "Beccisplayground" in 2018 and since then she is, as she calls herself, "just a girl playing games".

Through her career as a streamer, she already had the chance to work on interesting projects like hosting a stage for Omen by HP and Twitch, on GamesCom.

Becci also had her own morning show at ProSiebenGames where she regularly talked about the latest games and invited exciting guests of the gaming scene.

After she gratuaded in Berlin in 2017, the gamer girl now lives in Vienna again and streams 6 times a week on her Twitch channel, as well as moderating at various events.

"I am very happy to be part of the VCA this year. In our streaming living room will definitely take place one or the other highlight! It is going to be awesome!"

Luigikid Gaming

Behind the name "Luigikid Gaming" stands the 23-year-old René.

Since 2013 the Viennese creates Let's Play videos on YouTube and with over 450,000 subscribers and a total of over 150 million clicks he became one of the biggest YouTube creators in Austria.

On his channels he focuses on horror games and everything around the world of Nintendo.

On top to creating YouTube videos Luigikid streams live on YouTube Gaming and Twitch, where he prefers to play with or against his community.

"I'm looking forward to everyone passing at our streaming area at VCA to compete against me in various games!"

Timo's love to gaming started in his childhood when he watched his older brother play Diablo 2 and Counterstrike 1.6.

As he got older, he was much more interested in the mathematics and theory behind the games, which also led him to professional poker playing.

Meanwhile he is one of the few casters in Austria and has already commented on various esports tournaments, including the League of Legends tournament at the VCA 2017.

“With a special event from Riot, the premier tour comes a huge esports event to Austria. I'm really looking forward to being part of it.”

In 2012, Vincent started playing League of Legends and since he was very good top laner, he wanted to prove his skills at the LoL tournaments in the Respawn esports bar.

Unfortunately, that did not work out as he expected because his team always dropped out as one of the first, but by fortunate coincidence exactly that brought him to casting.

Meanwhile, he regularly comments the tournaments in the Respawn bar and other tournaments in Austria on Twitch.

Last year Vincent commented the League of Legends tournament at VCA together with Timo and N30ntv.

"The event was amazing, from the location, the great games to the cast with N30ntv, a German caster who made me realize how expandable my cast style is."
